My name is Andy. I’m a husband, father, son, brother, friend, pastor, and director of Refuge – an after school program in Liberty Township, Oh near Youngstown. I’m 31, graduated from Youngstown University with a degree in Telecommunications and a minor in religious studies. I am currently working on a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. I hope you are challenged, inspired, and encouraged. Feel free to comment, discuss, process and engage with each other and the topics. But keep it civil. You don’t have to agree with each other the time, just be respectful. Other people matter too.
Things I Like:
-Movies // Favorites include Braveheart, Gladiator, Catch Me If You Can
-Music // Coldplay, Justin Timberlake (I’m not ashamed of it), John Mark McMillan, Sleeping At Last.
-Food // I cook – poorly. But I like food.
-The Church // I am crazy about a community of people chasing Jesus together.
-Friendship // There’s just something magical about people doing life together.
Things I Don’t Like:
-My ears getting flicked. I don’t think I’m alone there. Not a lot of people would put that in their “Things I Like” column.
-Red lights. I know they’re necessary, but they just seems like a waste of time.
-Long lines. Same reason. I often wonder “how many hours have I been in line so far this year?”
-When I ask someone “What’s wrong?” and they answer “NOTHING!” as if I just killed their favorite pet. It’s ok if you just tell me you do not want to talk about it, you don’t have to lie to me to violently. I promise I won’t pester you.
My wife, Stephanie and I live in Hubbard, Oh with our son Ethan and daughter Elizabeth (Ellie). I love Jesus and people and just want them to meet each other. Anything I say on this site is not a reflection of Refuge Ministries, Inc., it’s staff or advisors. This is my website and my thoughts. If you don’t like them, it’s totally cool, we can still be friends.
